Starfield goes gold

Starfield is a staggeringly ambitious game, but it appears to be ready to go a few weeks from its September 6 launch. Bethesda has announced that the sci-fi RPG has gone gold.

Going "gold” basically means the game is complete and ready to be sent to be printed on discs and shipped to stores. Bethesda also revealed when players can pre-load the digital version of the game. Xbox players can do so beginning tomorrow, August 17. Steam users get their turn on August 30.
