Octopath Traveler gives players a taste of greatness with Divine Skills. Here's a look at all of them, ranked.

In addition to the Skills that come with each job in Octopath Traveler, characters may also pick up Divine Skills. These are one of a kind according to the job in question and are named after a particular god from Orsterra. Once the character masters all of the other Skills available, they will learn that job's Divine Skill.

Each Divine Skill costs 5000 JP to unlock and costs 3 BP to use. (They cannot be boosted any further than this!) While some Divine Skills are Buffs, others are Elemental Attacks or even Physical Attacks.

11 Bifelgan's Bounty

Bifelgan's Bounty is the Divine Skill for Merchants. It is an Elemental Attack that costs 30 SP and targets a single enemy once. The character unleashes a non-elemental attack and gets Leaf back equal to the amount of damage dealt.

While the description says the attack is non-elemental, it is actually considered Elemental because the damage is based on the character's Elemental Attack. (It does not target any weakness, therefore.)

10 Draefendi's Rage

Draefendi's Rage is the Divine Skill for Hunters. It is a Physical Attack that costs 30 SP and hits all enemies once. The character fires a powerful attack with a bow.

This attack scales with the character's level, and considers Critical Hits, as well as applies weaknesses regarding Bows (if any).

9 Aeber's Reckoning

Aeber's Reckoning is the Divine Skill for Thieves. It is a Physical Attack that costs 30 SP and targets all enemies once. The character deals damage with a dagger proportional to their speed.

For every 4 Speed points the character has, the damage goes up by 1 percent.

8 Dohter's Charity

Dohter's Charity is the Divine Skill for Apothecaries. It is a Buff that costs 30 SP and works on an ally. For three turns, all items used by this specific party member will affect the entire party.

For the duration of the effect, both healing and beneficial items will be applied to each and every party member, while items that apply damage or debuffs to a single foe will apply to all enemies. In fact, the Item command is included, as is Concoct (Alfyn's Talent).

7 Brand's Thunder

Brand's Thunder is the Divine Skill for Warriors. It is a Physical Attack that costs 30 SP and targets a single enemy. The character lets loose a tremendous attack with a sword.

This attack scales with the character's level, and considers Critical Hits, as well as applies weaknesses regarding Swords (if any).

6 Steorra's Prophecy

Steorra's Prophecy is the Divine Skill for Starseers. It is an Elemental Attack that costs 50 SP and hits all enemies. The character casts a spell that inflicts a damage amount proportional to the entire party's current BP number.

For every 1 BP the party has, 20 percent more damage is dealt. Also, the attack scales with the character's Elemental Attack and considers the enemy's Elemental Defense. (No elemental weak points are exploited.)

5 Dreisang's Spell

Dreisang's Spell is the Divine Skill for Sorcerers. It is a Buff that costs 50 SP and targets a single ally. For three turns, each Elemental Attack performed by this specific party member will always deal critical damage.

While the effect is active, skills that consider Elemental Attack (including Divine Skills), will always be a Critical Hit (therefore, 1.25 damage multiplier). (Physical Attacks are excluded completely.)

4 Alephan's Enlightenment

Alephan's Enlightenment is the Divine Skill for Scholars. It is a Buff that costs 30 SP and affects a single ally. For three turns, all spells cast by this specific party member that typically target all enemies will be concentrated onto one enemy.

For the duration of the effect, Elemental Attacks (not Divine Skills) that inflict damage on all enemies will instead hit one enemy but for double the damage (so, a 2 damage multiplier). (Physical Attacks are excluded too!)

3 Sealticge's Seduction

Sealticge's Seduction is the Divine Skill for Dancers. It is a Buff that costs 30 SP and targets a single ally. For three turns, all skills performed by this specific party member that usually affect one enemy will be spread out to all enemies.

While this effect is active, skills that have "Single Ally" or "Single Foe" in their description now become "All Allies" or "All Foes." This means spells that damage, debuffs, buffs, or healing. (Talents and Items, as well as skills that target "Self" or "One Other," are excluded.)

2 Balogar's Blade

Balogar's Blade is the Divine Skill for Runelords. It is an Elemental Attack that costs 50 SP and hits a single enemy six times. The damage dealt comes from each of the six elements in the game.

These elements are Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Light, and Dark. And the attacks go in that exact order. Therefore, enemies weak to elements earlier in the order will be broken sooner and therefore take more damage from elements later.

1 Winnehild's Battle Cry

Winnehild's Battle Cry is the Divine Skill for Warmaster. It is a Physical Attack that costs 50 SP and targets all enemies six times. The damage dealt comes from each of the six weapons in the game.

Because the Warmaster can wield all six different types of weapons in the game, their Divine Skill does the same. These weapons are Sword, Polearm, Dagger, Axe, Staff, and Bow (and the attacks go in that order exactly). Therefore, enemies weak to weapons earlier in the order will be broken sooner and therefore take more damage from weapons later.

Aelfric's Auspices

Aelfric's Auspices is the Divine Skill for Clerics. It is a Buff that costs 30 SP and affects a single ally. For three turns, the skills used by this specific party member are performed twice.

For the duration of the buff, all skills (not Divine Skills though) trigger twice. This means SP and/or BP are only consumed once, yet the skill is cast two times. And yes, that means Physical Attacks, Elemental Attacks, Buffs, Debuffs, and Ailments.
