Why WWE 2K24 Needs to Make One Match as Challenging as Real Life

Whenever WWE 2K24 comes around, fans will be expecting plenty of quality-of-life improvements, and one match type needs them more than others.

When Rhea Ripley won the Women's Royal Rumble in 2023 from the #1 position, she became the first woman to ever do so and the fourth wrestler to ever do so (following in the footsteps of wrestlers like Shawn Michaels and Edge). On top of that, the #1 position winners are incredibly spaced out, with these victories taking place in 1995, 2004, and 2021. Edge, who now wrestles for AEW, was the first to do so in 17 years, showing how challenging this match type can be. But if someone were to play a WWE 2K game, they wouldn't really face anything close to the same level of challenge, and that's something WWE 2K24 hopefully improves, alongside some general quality-of-life improvements.
