While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has an active cheating problem, some hackers are now showing off as they have no fear of being banned.

In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, cheating has proven to be a major issue that is starting to really negatively impact the player base. Players employ aimbots, wallhacks, and other cheating programs to try and gain an advantage. While Activision and their developers try their best, there are still enough Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War hackers out there to make the job difficult.

The only thing worse than a cheating player is often a cheating player who brags about taking advantage of the system. In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, players can communicate using voice chat, leading to in-game banter and discussions. While normally this is fine, some hackers have become confident enough to reveal themselves in lobbies, believing that nothing will happen to them.

In a clip posted to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Reddit, user the Hugoat shares a clip of a cheating player's verbal confirmation. The player is in a multiplayer lobby and is caught bragging about being a hacker. As theHugoat informs the players that they are being reported, they retaliate by asserting the popular opinion that nobody reads the reports. It is further revealed that the hack they are using only cost nine dollars, and it is their belief that no one has got caught as of yet using the same Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War cheats.

The clip reveals a much deeper problem for the Call of Duty community. It is bad enough that hackers are prevalent in the game, but it is now obvious that they are comfortable with their hacks. Many are running on the false belief that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's developer Treyarch will not stop them, so they have no reason to stop.

After several Reddit users tagged them in the comments, Foxhound FPS, Community Manager at Treyarch, commented on the video. He affirms that reporting the players was the correct course of action and that a security team reviews all infractions before enforcing any punishments.

While there is currently no confirmation as to whether the cheating players have received a ban, at this point tho, many players believe that it doesn't really matter. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War hackers are getting more comfortable in their cheats, which spells out danger for the game's community if Activision and Treyarch can not stop the constantly rising tide of cheaters.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
