Insomniac Games and Sony recently released Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the sequel to 2018's Spider-Man and follow-up to its canon spin-off Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The sequel is the newest entry in Insomniac's long line of excellent games, so the fact that the game has been well-received by fans and critics alike has proven unsurprising to many. While this can be attributed partly to the fact that the game plays it safe by building largely on the foundations of the previous two entries in the franchise, not everything about Spider-Man 2 has been so predictable as its quality. Many of its story elements stand out from previous entries.
