The many different wood types available in Minecraft afford a ton of customization when it comes to building, and one artistic fan creates their own set of new ladder designs that make use of every type of wood as well as other materials such as iron, gold, and copper. While Minecraft does include many different textures for doors, stairs, trapdoors, fences, and most other wooden construction pieces, ladders are one of the only pieces that have just one fixed texture in the game.
