Months after the highly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 hit shelves, Capcom gave fans of the survival-horror franchise a not-so-surprising treat with the release of the Separate Ways DLC. Like the base game, the remake of Resident Evil 4's Separate Ways was well-received by most fans and critics, not only because it perfectly captured the original but also because of the many improvements and new content that further fleshed out Ada Wong's storyline. While it remains to be seen which Resident Evil game Capcom plans to remake next, its approach to creating Separate Ways, which led to its eventual success, sets the blueprint and importance of future DLCs.
