From the moment it was announced to the moment it shut down, Marvel's Avengers had no shortage of complaints. Coming hot off the heels of Insomniac's incredible first Spider-Man game, fans couldn't wait to get stuck into another AAA Marvel game, this time revolving around the Avengers, now the most popular comic book team in the world. But then came the lackluster reviews, and the disappointing overreliance on live-service elements, all of which left Marvel's Avengers as one of the most disappointing superhero games of all time, and one that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League should be learning from and not trying to copy.
