In Modern Warfare 3, a Field Upgrade is a rechargeable tactical device. Each player can incorporate one Field Upgrade in their class setup, or they can choose to leave the slot empty. While the functionality of these gadgets has remained largely unchanged since Modern Warfare 2, the 2023 installment introduces a variety of new tactical devices that might confuse players.
