One creative Pokemon fan has created designs for several new Paradox Pokemon, including designs for the second-stage evolutions of the Gen I starters. With over 1000 Pokemon in the franchise, Nintendo and Game Freak have routinely introduced gimmicks that put a fresh spin on the older pocket monsters to introduce them to a whole new generation. The sixth generation introduced Mega Evolution, which is a temporary power-up for certain Pokemon, such as Charizard, while the seventh generation established Regional variants with the Alolan forms.
