Earlier today, League of Legends' Patch 11.9 finally hit the live servers after weeks of PBE testing. As a follow-up to Gwen's release in 11.8, the new patch contains plenty of balance changes aimed at shaking things up before the 2021 Mid Season Invitational.
The most significant nerfs are to champions whose recent buffs pushed them over the edge such as Diana, Rumble, and Vladimir. At the same time, Riot also continues to adjust Turbo Chemtank and other movement speed items which have made engage junglers such as Udyr an absolute nightmare in solo queue. While this evens the playing field in mid, top, and jungle, there are other champions who are already boasting higher win rates.

League's resident support yordle, Lulu received a W buff that decreases the cooldown and increases the attack speed buff when cast on an ally. While this helps all ADCs, it is especially potent to those with max percent health damage in their kits. Speaking of marksmen, Kog'Maw's Q and E were also buffed which aid in smoothing out his early and mid-game until he can become the notorious tank/frontline shredding late game carry from previous seasons.
With the jungle looking to shift because of the tank build nerfs, several unconventional League of Legends picks are already looking much better this patch. Kindred and Rhaast-form Kayns will be able to duel much better thanks to the damage buffs on their bread-and-butter Q spells. On the other hand, Trundle's E slow is finally getting reverted after its 2018 nerf making it a one-point wonder again and allowing him prioritize skilling up Q and W instead.
Besides these changes, the new Damwon Gaming skins to celebrate their 2020 World Championship win will be arriving in the store tomorrow along with Conqueror Jax ahead of MSI. Though 11.9's effects on the professional meta may be unclear for another week, players can try out all these changes in ranked or normal games right now while still earning rewards from the Space Groove 2021 event.
