Though not necessary for completing the game, players are able to find a number of hidden areas within Super Mario RPG. One such area is the Mario-franchise staple, Yoshi's Island, known in Super Mario RPG as Yo'ster Isle. Players do not have immediate access to the area, and must venture through another optional area in order to reach the tropical region where they can find a bunch of Yoshis and mini-games.
