When Code Geass released its two seasons from 2006 to 2012, it was unsurprising to see the anime series earn various accolades - such as awards from the Tokyo International Anime Fair. And the awards made sense given the anime and its ambitious premise - that of the exiled prince Lelouch vi Britannia’s quest to overthrow the global Holy Britannian Empire with the help of awesome mecha and his Geass, a “power” that forces anyone to obey his commands.
