According to a reputable insider, Capcom is not releasing any Resident Evil remakes in 2024, and a new game from the company being announced "late 2023" will not be related to its popular survival-horror franchise either. Resident Evil has been one of Capcom's biggest franchises since the original game launched in the 1990s. Capcom releases new Resident Evil games on a regular basis, ranging from brand-new main series entries to more experimental spin-offs to remakes of some of the franchise's more beloved games.
