During its busiest period, Telltale was working on licensed games for both Marvel and DC. Alongside other comic book-focused hits like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, Telltale’s Batman series provided a celebrated take on the Dark Knight. By comparison, its Marvel project was not as well received, as Eidos Montreal’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is what many gamers will think of instead of Telltale’s version. Though there were some good moments in its Guardians episodes, like Rocket’s origin story and a brutal final choice, Telltale could deliver a far better Marvel game by working with Loki.
