Here are the best possible graphics settings to help you get the most out of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Warzone has just passed its first year anniversary. Over the course of the past year, gamers have had a lot of time to experiment with different graphics settings to get the best-looking and performing gameplay. Before deciding which settings to choose, players will need to think about what they prioritize in a battle royale experience.

Competitive players will prefer high frames over stunning visuals. On the contrary, casual players will want the game to look as good as possible and are not as concerned with performance metrics. This guide will cover the best graphics settings for diamond players, as well as players that prefer aesthetics over frames.

Hardware will have an incredible impact on graphics in Warzone. Console players will want to get a next-gen console to at least have the option for higher frames, resolution, and hertz. Old generation consoles are capped at 60 fps/120 Hz even if their monitor allows better performance.

PC players will need to have a decent computer and graphics card to get the best out of the available settings. Gamers will want to get their hands on an Nvidia card, preferably a G Force RTX 3070 or 3080. There is a shortage of these cards on the market right now, so players with a 3060 should have visuals that are nearly comparable.

Gamers on all platforms should get a monitor that supports at least 144 hz. While hertz and FPS are completely separate values, a 60hz monitor will only be able to display 60 frames a second. Likewise, higher hertz will make the game look and feel smoother. Players can opt for a monitor that is anywhere between 1080p and 4k. Obviously, the game will look clearer with more pixels, but frame rate will be significantly impacted. Gamers should look for a setup with 1440p capability, which is a huge upgrade from 1080p.

Settings will be slightly different for PC and Console players, but there is a lot of overlap, at least in the general settings tab. Obviously, this guide will focus more on the PC settings because there are far more options on the platform. Most players will have already tinkered with these, so the important settings affecting graphics are listed below.

  • Field of View: 100-110
  • Refresh Rate: 144+ if monitor supports high Hz
  • Render Resolution: 1920x1080 for high frames, 2560x1440 for better visuals and lower frames
  • Nvidia Reflex Low Latency: Enabled
  • Texture Resolution: Normal
  • Texture Filter Anisotropic: Normal
  • Particle Quality: Low
  • Bullet Impact Spray: Enabled
  • Tessellation: Disabled
  • On-demand Texture Streaming: Enabled
  • Streaming Quality: Normal
  • Shadow Map Resolution: Normal
  • Cache Sun And Spot Shadows: Enabled
  • Particle Lighting: High
  • Ray Tracing: Disabled
  • Occlusion: Disabled
  • Screen Space Reflection: Normal
  • Anti-aliasing: Filmic SMAA T2X
  • Depth of Field: Enabled
  • Motion Blurs and Film Grain: Disabled and set to 0

Particle lighting, shadow map resolution, and anti-aliasing will all impact frames. Gamers can turn these settings down for higher frames. However, the game will look bland without good shadows, lighting, and defined lines. Players can always experiment with the settings to find a good middle ground between maximum performance and amazing visuals at 30 frames.

PC players should definitely take a look at their Nvidia filters if they have not done so. Console players do not have any of the color, sharpening, and brightness settings that PC players do. This means that PC players will have an immense visual advantage over anyone on console. Players will no longer die to a Rose skin camping in a stairwell if they have the right settings active.

Gamers should have both tint color and tint intensity set to zero. Next, temperature should be set around negative ten. Lower temperature will allow gamers to have high saturation by increasing the color intensity to around 70-80. The color setting will make the contrasting colors pop much better than with the base settings.

Sharpen

Sharpness should be set anywhere from 50% to 70% depending on preference. Sharpness settings will make objects appear more defined and help with color differentiation. Ignore film grain should be set to 100%.

Brightness/Contrast

Players should leave exposure at zero and set contrast anywhere between 50% and 60%. High contrast will make everything on the map stand out. Highlights should be set all the way to -100% and shadows should be set low as well. Players will find that anywhere from -50% shadows to -100% will look and feel better. Next, Gamma can be set anywhere from 0%-15% for optimal image quality.

Gamers need to keep in mind that the above settings will impact frame rate to some extent. The Nvidia settings are in place for aesthetic purposes, and players will need to monitor the impact on frames as they tinker with the different options. Gamers that have a good PC and monitor can get around 100 frames with the above settings, which is still manageable considering how good the game will look.
