The game industry experienced an absolutely massive 2023, as highly anticipated titles like Baldur's Gate 3, Street Fighter 6, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and much more were all finally released. In fact, Nintendo had one of its biggest years in recent memory thanks to huge first-party games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Naturally, this year also featured a few low points for game releases with disappointing titles that just didn't live up to the anticipation or simply fell short of fan expectations.
