Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies may be a step away from the round-based experiences longtime fans love, but when looking at it objectively, many players have found that the open-world experience has a lot to offer. Teaming up with random players in the open-world is wildly entertaining, while MWZ’s Mercenaries work surprisingly well - even if they are too easy following a nerf. Missions offer a clear sense of progression, looting is enjoyable, and contracts are fun even after dozens of completions. As such, while many fans are excited about the return of survival maps in Call of Duty 2024, there are some good things Modern Warfare 3 Zombies has done that are worth keeping around.
