Psyonix and the NFL team up again to bring back Rocket League's football-themed content and LTMs in celebration of the draft this weekend.

Rocket League is celebrating the NFL Draft by bringing back a limited-time mode and a premium pack based around the pig-skinned sport. For a limited time, fans can enjoy NFL content within Rocket League once again.

Late last year, the NFL and Psyonix teamed up to provide the NFL Fan Pack for Rocket League, cosmetic packs for all 32 teams. Soon thereafter, a football-themed LTM was also introduced; both are returning.

The aforementioned NFL Fan Pack and the Gridiron LTM in Rocket League will be available throughout this weekend, according to the game's official Twitter page. In the LTM, the ball sticks to the vehicles as if they were holding it like a football and it can be passed back and forth to teammates. It very much changes the formula of the standard experience.

On top of Psyonix bringing back those two features, it also is adding new NFL items to be unlocked via challenges. Lastly, Rocket League will have double XP all weekend long, so fans can have the NFL draft on in the background while earning XP in the over-the-top vehicle-sports game.

For many, the NFL draft is a spectacle. Whether it be Atlanta Falcons fans excited about selecting a possible once-in-a-lifetime talent in tight end Kyle Pitts or Chicago Bears fans celebrating in the streets about trading up to select their QB of the future in Justin Fields, the draft can be pure adrenaline and elation. It is very intriguing to be able to share that joy in a game like Rocket League where adrenaline may as well be the game's middle name.

Rocket League is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
