Those who are interested will want to boot up their Xbox consoles and start the download process right now.

There has been some debate about behind Xbox Live Gold and how it compares to other subscription models. With the rise of Xbox Game Pass, some wonder if Xbox Live Gold Still has a purpose. That being said, there is often a lot of excitement behind the free games that come with an Xbox Live Gold account each month. The first two games for the month of May are Armello and LEGO Batman: The Videogame, and they are ready to download right now.

According to Pure Xbox, the first two May Xbox Games with Gold games are available a tad earlier than the month that they are designated for. LEGO Batman: The Videogame is set to be available from May 1 until May 15. Armello is set to be available from May 1 until May 31. The two games are quite different, but Xbox Live Gold members can give them a try for free.

As far as the titles that are available, LEGO Batman: The Videogame is considered one of the best LEGO video games, making it worth considering during this 15 day period. Batman and Robin protect Gotham City by fighting, driving, swinging, and, of course, building in the family-friendly adventure game.

Armello may be the lesser-known of the two titles, but its longer availability will help more player give it a try. The tabletop strategy game is based in a grim fairy-tale world. The title ambitiously combines RPG elements with card play and magic all in a board game setting that has come to life.

The other May Xbox Games with Gold games include Dungeons 3 and Tropico 4, but both of them will release midway through the month, so they are not quite available to Xbox gamers. A bit of patience will be required for half of the May Xbox Games with Gold titles, but it is rather exciting to be able to play Armello and LEGO Batman: The Videogame a day early. Because this is not the first time this has happened, Xbox players could start getting used to downloading the free games a day early, which is enjoyable to think about.
