Despite releasing the 1.8.88 update on December 11, frustrated players are still reporting bugs in Starfield that the patch was meant to fix – such as long playthrough crashes and objects attaching themselves to a ship. While fans were hoping that Starfield would do a serious update, on a scale comparable to what Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3 were delivering within the same post-launch time-frame, Bethesda seems to be prioritizing the development of the Shattered Space DLC, while releasing fixes on game-breaking bugs at a slow-yet-steady pace.
