Despite what most players end up thinking, there's a lot more lore in the Risk of Rain games than just the general 'fight your way off an alien planet' setup. The Logbooks in the original game, Risk of Rain 2, and of course, Risk of Rain Returns all give a bit of an inkling into the events and timelines of these beloved roguelike games.
