There are countless NPCs in Lords of the Fallen, most of whom have their own questlines. Completing these questlines does not change the story's outcome but can be required for specific endings. Lords of the Fallen changes the traditional way NPCs act, as most Soulslike games allow the player to strike NPCs using their melee weapons and even kill them. However, this is not the case with Lords of the Fallen because NPCs are immune, and no hits are registered when attacking them.
