The SteamWorld universe is known for its post-apocalyptic environment; it's usually set in the desert - SteamWorld Build is no different. Players must create and manage a city in a deserted world while exploring under the ground to find ancient technology. However, the developers decided to spice up SteamWorld Build a little and added game themes not too long after its release in early December 2023.
