The Metal Gear Solid franchise is one of the most beloved video game series of all time. Its five mainline entries are accentuated by several spin-offs and other related projects that help to deepen a world that's already been packed to the brim full of lore by its creator and visionary, Hideo Kojima. Despite no new entries in the series since 2018's very poorly received Metal Gear Survive, the first project since Kojima and developer Konami publicly parted ways in 2015, the series' popularity shows no signs of waning. Earlier this year, fans were treated to the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1, packaging together the first three entries and their prequels. With a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 on the way, and Vol.2 of the Master Collection in the pipeline, 2024 could be a busy year for the popular stealth franchise.
