A gamer has found a physical Xbox Series X copy of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum retailing at a ridiculously high price point. In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, players control Gollum as they stealthily journey through several set pieces, such as Barad-dur in Mordor, to locate the One Ring that is now in Bilbo Baggins’ possession. The title was released earlier this year in May by Daedalic Entertainment and has been mired in several controversies since before its launch. Fans were upset that the developers had essentially locked the elvish language behind a paywall, with the company releasing a statement saying that the reason for this decision was because the company hired voice actors for the conversations, which is why it was accessible through a paid DLC.
