After years of being stuck in a rocky development cycle, Dead Island 2 managed what seemed impossible and brought forth a suitable sequel to 2011's Dead Island. Although the game has been hailed a success, a third Dead Island game in the series could benefit from coming back to where everything initially started for the first Dead Island.
