The DC Universe is packed full of unique characters and interesting locales, but it's only been over the last few years that developers have really made an attempt to present DC fans with a true open-world experience. Whilst fans wait for Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, an open-world game set in a Brainiac-invaded Metropolis, they can find plenty of DC open-world games to scratch their itch. Sure, there's been plenty of very linear DC games in the past, but with so many fun areas to explore with the likes of Gotham City and Metropolis, it makes this comic universe extremely suitable for the immensely popular open-world genre.
