Bushiroad Games and Eighting have revealed the first six playable characters in the upcoming Hunter X Hunter Nen X Impact fighting game. Last December, Hunter X Hunter fans received a surprise announcement at the Jump Festa 2024 event: publisher Bushiroad Games and developer Eighting would be collaborating on making a fighting game based on the popular anime property. This would be the first fighting game that only featured the cast of Hunter X Hunter, as previous licensed games based on the property are RPGs or mobile games. The only time Hunter X Hunter tackled the fighting game genre would be in the likes of Jump Ultimate Stars or Jump Force, which were anime crossover fighting games.
