Over the last few entries, Mortal Kombat has gotten increasingly experimental with its crossover DLC characters. The first guest DLC fighter in the franchise was Mortal Kombat 2011's Freddy Krueger, a pretty logical choice for a bloody game like Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat X continued the horror guest fighter trend, bringing Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, Alien, and Predator to the game. Then Mortal Kombat 11 dipped into action flick territory, bringing Terminator, RoboCop, and Rambo to the franchise. Now, Mortal Kombat 1's DLC roster has gone in another bold new direction, focusing on villains (with two who have technically reformed since).
