Despite maintaining its hold on the sales market, the Call of Duty franchise is currently at an all-time low, at least as far as its critical reception goes. The Call of Duty franchise has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the last two decades, with each new entry seemingly rolling the dice on being viewed as either a mediocre cash grab or one of the greatest FPS games of all time. That being said, the vast majority of Call of Duty entries have never really been viewed as truly bad games, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has changed that.
