The relationship between Baldur's Gate 3 and Dungeons and Dragons is symbiotic, meaning BG3 learned a lot in adapting the DnD 5e ruleset and DnD could learn from plenty of the changes made to its formula in the game. More importantly, many Baldur's Gate 3 fans are constantly starting new Tavs, Origin Characters, and Durges just to experience it all over again. The anticipation for Baldur's Gate 3 DLC is understandably high as a result, but it's uncertain when and if that'll happen. Instead, however, it's possible to translate Larian's take on Faerun to the table and "continue" the story of BG3 as a custom, homebrewed campaign.
