It's hard to avoid comparisons between Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's Dondoko Island and Animal Crossing since both feature life sim elements as players build up an island from scratch. While Dondoko Island isn't as feature-full as a game like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth still gives players plenty of reasons to get sucked into this side activity. One feature that Dondoko Island includes is the ability to fend off attacks by the Washbucklers, which could translate to a similar mechanic in the next Animal Crossing game.
