This guide will help Resident Evil Village players solve the piano puzzle that is in the Opera Hall on Castle Dimitrescu's first floor.

Resident Evil Village is absolutely filled to the brim with puzzles for players to solve, and one of them centers around a special piano. This instrument is located in the Opera Hall on the first floor of Castle Dimitrescu, and fans that examine it will find themselves staring a piece of sheet music. From there, Resident Evil Village players will need to enter a series of notes on the piano's keyboard, and this guide contains full details on the process.

To note, players can solve the piano puzzle in Resident Evil Village by simply pressing the instrument's keys at random. Indeed, the puzzle does not reset if an incorrect note is pressed, and correct notes will be locked-in when they are struck. Fans will know that they have pressed a good key when they see a dot appear on top of a note on the sheet music, and they can just keep playing notes until they reach the end of the composition.

With that said, some players may want to be more accurate with their piano playing and only press correct notes. While doing that will be no problem for horror game fans that know how to read music, those that do not may need a bit of assistance. For those fans that are in that position, the following image shows the exact order in which the keys should be hit, and it should make completing this Resident Evil Village puzzle a breeze.

Once a player has pressed the 10 notes that are displayed on the sheet music, the piano will play a short melody and the fallboard will close. A small compartment in the front of the piano will then open, and the Iron Insignia Key sits inside of it. Fans should make absolutely sure that they pickup this key before they leave the Opera Hall, as it is useful in Resident Evil Village's Castle Dimitrescu as well as back in the village.

For those players that are curious, the song played by the piano is titled Sogno, and it was written by the Italian composer Francesco Paolo Tosti in 1886. While this composition may not be as obviously unsettling as some of the other Resident Evil Village music, it fits the atmosphere of the location nicely, and some players will be happy just to have a brief respite from the harsher tones that pervade most of the game's soundtrack.

Resident Evil Village is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
