Some video games offer players a view of families with perfect parents and perfect children who support each other in their goals and wishes. But others show off the very worst parenting it's possible to imagine, both in fathers and in mothers. These stories are often more heartwrenching because if the people who are supposed to support a character through anything aren't doing that, then who else will?
