Power Rangers isn't technically an adaptation, but it might as well be. Saban and his team borrowed action footage from the ever-iconic Super Sentai series and stitched it into an American high school sitcom. The bizarre result still occupies several children's TV blocks and the hearts and minds of most nerds between the ages of 10 and 40.
