While almost every character in Final Fantasy 7 is beloved by fans, Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind are two favorites. Vincent's mysterious personality adds an enormous amount of depth to his character, as players long to know the full extent of Vincent Valentine's tragic backstory. Cid, on the other hand, comes off as a rather gruff mechanic with no filter, yet his loyalty and dedication to his friends tend to soften him up. Both are compelling characters in their own way, which is why they are so adored by the Final Fantasy fan base. Unfortunately, while they will make an appearance in Final Fantasy 7 Remake's sequel, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, they are not yet playable.
