Though Silent Hill has long been considered an important and influential horror series, particularly during the PS1 and PS2 eras, recent and upcoming projects run the risk of tarnishing its identity and spirit. Konami has several Silent Hill projects in the works currently, and while many players are feeling hopeful about the future, there are just as many, if not more, who are approaching this new phase of the franchise with apprehension.
