Prop Hunt is one of the most entertaining game modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, with players sure to have a laugh when hiding from enemies. However, one Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War player had a truly memorable Prop Hunt session, sharing the footage on Reddit.
The Prop Hunt match took place on the new 6v6 map Diesel, which was added to the game as part of Season 3. With most of the fighting centered around the map’s gas station, props are mostly vehicle-based. However, Reddit user calebs75 received a great prop, getting an unsuspecting set of wooden stairs to disguise themselves as. This allowed them to perfect blend into the trailer park on the left side of the map, with the gamer able to spend two full minutes as the prop before being discovered.

However, with only one teammate left, it was only a matter of time before the prop whistles led the enemy team to calebs75. The player was eventually shot by someone using the Season 3 Operator Wraith, and from there, a two-minute chase began to play out. Given the map’s small size and the fact that the player was one of the only props left, their chances of winning were slim. Despite this, they manage to do so, and the victory comes with some wild moments attached.
With the lucky player now disguised as a small blue container, they run right across the gas station’s parking lot. Doing their best to wiggle left and right to dodge bullets, the player loops around the truck to find three Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players staring them down. However, instead of being shot, the prop simply runs at their feet, with the group being none the wiser as to the container’s location. Running in circles around calebs75, a fourth enemy eventually joins the hunt, though none can gun down the speedy prop.
Eventually, the clock begins to take down, with caleb75 getting the win after a few close calls. Many Redditors were shocked in the comments of the post, with some confused that the enemy team was rarely shooting and never using their stun grenades. As pointed out by gideon513, the hunters may have been trying to box the prop in, leaving it unable to move. If this was the case, the plan backfired, with the team instead getting an embarrassing loss in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War party game.
Regardless of whether it was a failed strategy or some bad play, the clip is certainly worth watching. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Prop Hunt exploit ruining recent matches of the mode, seeing something fun is a nice change of pace.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
