The Sims 4 has taken on a unique tactic by releasing the base game for free and relying on its paid expansions to rake in the money instead. This isn't a bad move, as with over a dozen Sims 4 Expansions, Stuff, and Kits to choose from, there's plenty for consumers to purchase if they wish.
