The next generation of Monster Hunter is on its way, with Monster Hunter Wilds set for a 2025 release. It's coming later than many fans expected, as Monster Hunter Now and the Monster Hunter Stories’ console remaster have filled both of the windows originally pegged to hold Monster Hunter's next generation. The fifth generation of mainline MH games has been ongoing since Monster Hunter World in 2018, and now that both MH World and its sequel Rise have received their expected expansions, the community is ready for something new. Monster Hunter Wilds promises to be that, just as soon as it's ready.
