Blunt weapons in Dying Light 2 are typically slower to attack, but deal heavy damage and are great for blocking incoming attacks.

Combat in Dying Light 2 often takes a back seat to the 3D puzzle of using parkour to move around the map, stealth to avoid enemies, and exploration of the wilderness and abandoned city. In fact, players generally only end up forced into combat when they make a mistake. Because of this, good weapons are hard to find, expensive to buy, and difficult to upgrade. This is doubly true for firearms, but less so for melee weapons.
