Swords in Dragon's Dogma 2 are only available to Fighters and Warfarers. Fighters are a reliable starting vocation that can provide great damage and survivability. They can choose from swords and maces as they take on the wide variety of enemies Dragon's Dogma 2 has to offer. Although maces offer some good damage against armored enemies in the late game, swords will be the more reliable option for most of the game, as there are a great deal of good swords available earlier on.
