The majority of House of the Dragon's most formidable dragons perish in the civil war dubbed the Dance of the Dragons. These include battle-hardened beasts such as Vhagar, Caraxes, Meleys, and Syrax, as well as younger, nimble dragons such as Arrax, Vermax, and Moondancer. A few dragons also perish in the unfortunate event known as the Storming of the Dragonpit in Game of Thrones lore.
