Though Granblue Fantasy Relink's real-time combat can look pretty familiar on the surface to any ARPG fans, it does have a few built-in systems and mechanics that make it quite different. By far the biggest examples of this are the Skybound Arts, which become much stronger if the player waits a little while before using them and then chains them together. As a result, players are encouraged to try and survive as long as possible before dishing out the maximum amount of damage, and there's no better way to stay standing in a fight than having a dependable healer on the team.
