Rumors and leaks have always been a part of the gaming industry, but in the last decade or so, they've risen in prominence quite a bit, with more people than ever wanting to know what's in store for some of their most anticipated upcoming games. Though leaks and rumors can affect games of all shapes and sizes, it's usually more high-profile AAA projects that receive the most substantial leaks, often due to their teams being much bigger, and therefore, there being much more room for information to spill over the sides. Mortal Kombat 1 is a great example of this.
