Not all that glitters is gold, and as much as the individuals in the My Hero Academia world have been blessed with quirks that put them at an advantage, some of these quirks do not efficiently serve their users. In fact, they would probably be better off without them. However, getting rid of a quirk is not really an option, except if such an individual comes into contact with All For One, who is interested in their quirk, or if they manage to stumble on the deadly but potent quirk-destroying drug.
