A dedicated Animal Crossing and soon-to-be mother creates a real-life nursery for her baby based on the popular Nintendo series.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has left a massive impact on countless people. Nintendo's social simulator sold over 31 million units in its first year, which is an almost unheard-of amount for a single year on a singular platform. But Animal Crossing: New Horizons may have had a special effect on one particular fan and soon-to-be mother, and that has carried over to her soon-to-be newborn.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has proven to be a truly positive game in the industry. While 2020 was a dark year, New Horizons brought joy with its new levels of social simulation, co-op gameplay, outdoor fun, and overall charm. Players have also continued to use the game as a canvas for creativity in unique ways, both in and outside of the game. And one expecting mom recently used the game as the inspiration for her nursery, and the creation was shared online.

Reddit user roaringelbow recently shared a post on r/AnimalCrossing of their sister's remarkable Animal Crossing-inspired nursery. The soon-to-be mommy is getting ready to have her first child and decided to create her baby's nursery with Animal Crossing in mind. This was not a simple job, as everything from the decorations to the plushies to the mobile is all based on the New Horizons island and its villagers.

The Animal Crossing mobile has things like Blathers the museum owl, a Bell, and more. There are also two educational pictures on the wall that would likely make Blathers very proud. Bugs and Fish from the game are detailed and framed. Meanwhile, multiple pieces of artwork that can also be collected in-game and placed into the museum are found in the nursery. The artwork is based on real-world craftsmanship, which makes the nursery quite instructional indeed.

Much of the rest of the nursery is filled with Animal Crossing plushies, pillows, trinkets, and more, whether that be items of Isabelle, Tom Nook, or K.K. Slider. Currently, there are Animal Crossing: New Horizons Build-A-Bears that are available as well, so that could even be a part of the collection. Some of it looks purchased, but other aspects of the nursery look handmade, perhaps from the mother or found from places like Etsy. Overall, the nursery looks lovely, charming, and very comfy, much like the games themselves.

The Animal Crossing series has become popular because it is inviting to anyone of any age. A father can enjoy the game with his daughter, a grandmother can have fun socializing and filling up the museum, and a mother can create her nursery based on the game. Nintendo prides itself on making games for all, and with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it did it perhaps better than ever based on the monumental sales alone.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
