Anno 1800 is a management-strategy game and colony sim, with a heavy focus on construction, production, and exploration. As well as managing settlements and resources across a range of islands and regions, players will also need to maintain a strong fleet, both for the defense and logistics of trading, or even expansion and conquest. While the type of ship players choose to build will have a large bearing on their function, ships can be vastly altered and improved, just as many buildings can, by equipping Items to them.
