Spiders' upcoming GreedFall 2: The Dying World has officially been set for an early access release sometime this summer, with about 30% of the game being made available to Steam players on the day of its launch. Although it is labeled as a sequel, GreedFall 2 actually takes place three years before the events of the first game, making it a prequel more than a direct sequel. That being said, its prequel status is simply based on the events and period of the game, not the protagonist. In GreedFall 2, rather than playing as GreedFall's De Sardet again, players step into the shoes of a native of Teer Fradee who has just been taken from their home and transported to the Old Continent of Gacane.
